I had the pleasure of sitting down and talking to Garance Choko about her life, career and her travels up to the present day. Garance spoke to me about her early life journey and how she found it difficult growing up in Paris, France. She explains that she had always wanted to leave due to not feeling welcome due to her race. You will see why this was the case as we spoke in detail about racism in society as a whole. She talked to me about the journey she took that led her to parts of South America and eventually made her way to New York, where she is the founder and CEO of Codasocieties. Garance does explain to me what she aims to achieve with the company. I spoke with Garance about what it's like to be away from her family and friends. Having embarked on this journey, you will find out what type of impact it has made on her life. I also asked whether she had found New York as the place where she could call her home.We discussed some of the memorable places she's travelled to and how those places have impacted her. She also spoke to me about the meaning of her travel. It was a great talk, and I loved how open and honest Garance was with me.
