In this episode, I spoke to Travel photographer, Jupiter Kayonga. Our main topic of discussion was about Jupiter surviving the genocide in Rwanda in 1994, having suffered a traumatic loss as well as having to flee his home and get refuge. We also spoke about his career and how he became a travel photographer. I went into detail about those early moments of his life. Whether it left any scars or he saw it as an opportunity to go and succeed in whatever Jupiter decided to go into.Jupiter talked about being a flight attendant for Emirates and how that allowed him to travel the world. This is where we talked about his passion for travel and how that led him to become a photographer. I spoke to him about his ambitions with this, how challenging the business is, and how he would look to develop as a photographer going forward.I also spoke to Jupiter about some of his best travel moments and whether he has gone back to Rwanda as he now lives in Paris, France.
