One of the mind-born sons of Brahmadev was Marichi rishi. Marichi rishi’s son was Kashyap rishi. Kashyap rishi and his wives were responsible for giving birth to many creations of the universe.
Kashyap rishi’s wife Aditi was mother of Gods, her sons were also called Aditya.
Devi Aditi prayed to the Sun God requesting her to be born as her son. Suryadev agreed and was born as Vivaswan.
One of the sons of Vivaswan was Vaivaswat Manu.
One of the sons of Vaivaswat Manu, Ikshvaku was the founder of The Great Solar Dynasty, also referred as Ikshvaku dynasty.
Many great kings like Ambarisha, Sagar, Bhagirath, Raghu, Dileep, Dashrath and Shriram were born in this dynasty.
