Episode Synopsis
Letters to my Corporate Sisters with Dr. Elizabeth Carter, PhD.Welcome to our podcast, where we dive into the anthology "Letters to My Corporate Sisters." This book features inspiring letters written by successful women of color in corporate America, sharing their personal stories and offering advice to their fellow corporate sisters.Unfortunately, the lack of diversity and representation of women in corporate America is a persistent issue. According to a study by Catalyst, women of color represent only 4.6% of Fortune 500 CEOs and only 3% of executive-level positions. This is despite the fact that women make up almost 50% of the workforce in the United States.Through the personal experiences and insights shared in "Letters to My Corporate Sisters," we hope to uplift and empower women of color in the corporate world. We'll discuss the book's authors and their individual journeys, as well as the themes and lessons that can be applied to anyone navigating their career.Join us as we explore this important topic and celebrate the voices of women of color in corporate America. You can view the video version on our YouTube Channel click here. The podcast will be a 3-part series:1st Series - Dr. Saundra Williams & Rebekah Ratliff2nd Series - Sunita Uthra, Debra Bell-Campbell, & Wendy Gomez3rd Series - Dr. Pam Straker & Willie Mae White#LetterstoMyCorporateSisters #WomeninCorporateAmerica #DiversityandInclusion #RepresentationMattersSupport the show
