Homily given on the 17th Sunday in Ordinary Time (Year C) at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Clarendon, VA on Sunday, July 28, 2019 (10:30 am Mass).
Mass Readings were as follows:
- Genesis: 18:20-32 -- "Will you sweep away the innocent with the guilty?"
- Psalm 138 -- "Lord, on the day I called for help, you answered me."
- Colossians 2:12-14 -- "You were buried with him in baptism, in which you were also raised with him through faith in the power of God."
- Luke 11:1-13 -- "When you pray, say: 'Our Father,...'" (followed by two parables on perseverance)
