Dr. Rosengart is the past Chair of the NIH Bioengineering, Technology and Surgical Sciences Study Section, inaugural Chair of the ACS National Surgeon Scientist Study Section, Chair of the ACS Board of Governors Physician Competency and Health Workgroup, and a member of the ACS Academy of Master Surgeon Educators. He is also past President of the Society of Surgical Chairs and recently completed a four-year term as Board Director for the American Association for Thoracic Surgery.Dr. Rosengart reflects on his journey to a pioneering cardiac surgeon and academic leader.
