He is a tenured professor, director of the Comprehensive Skull Base Surgery Program, and recently appointed associate dean for Faculty Advancement Mentoring and Engagement (FAME) at Ohio State University College of Medicine. He has published more than 500 peer-reviewed articles, and edited, co-edited or co-written more than a dozen medical books. He has also been recognized on the Castle Connolly list of "America's Top Doctors" from 2001 to 2021.
