The refrain from the song “Jesus Loves The Little Children” written by Clarence Herbert Woolston comes to mind this morning, “Jesus loves the little children,All the children of the world.Red and yellow, black and white,All are precious in His sight,Jesus loves the little children of the world.”Sadly, many don’t feel loved today in our world. Like many of you here today, I thought the news surrounding the Coronavirus would be the most pressing issue we would face as a country this year, but the death of George Floyd in Minnesota has dominated the reporting in the US the past couple weeks. Reactions to his death at the hands of law enforcement have ranged from peaceful protests to rioting, vandalism, looting, setting cities on fire, and even murder.
