We’ve all heard those words “Look at me” or “Watch this” Sometimes there’s a wave of affirmation as something they have been working on goes well but it can also end poorly as what transpires next doesn’t quite go as planned. But we’ve all spoken those words as we have sought the attention of someone else and can remember a time when we didn’t get the attention we were hoping for. As we go about our day, is there someone yearning for our attention? Is the business of life or a hardened heart keeping us from connecting with those we love?While Absalom’s actions were more than a bit extreme as he sought to get his father’s attention, what will it take for others to get our attention as we go about our day to day?
