In this podcast, you will see a conversation with Deepak Rajmohan, Founder and CEO of Greepod Labs. 
India being the 2nd largest producer of fruits and vegetables, 40% of it is lost before it reaches the consumers. Green pods use natural plant extracts to activate the inbuilt defense mechanism which slows down the ripening rate and minimizing microbial growth thus, extending the shelf life of fruits and vegetables. Deepak did Bachelors of Engineering(Agriculture) at Anna University, Guindy, then he moved to the US to study for his master's. Then he began his career as a food scientist in Happy Family Brands in the US. He used to network with different professors and people related to his industry, which got him a lot of new connections and opportunities. When Deepak got to know about the food waste problem, he came back to India to solve it. Now Greenpods is working in an R&D phase to extend the shelf life of fruits and vegetables in India.
