With groups like Run DMC, the Beastie Boys, and Public Enemy embracing and working with rock and metal artists like Aerosmith, Slayer, and Anthrax, these seemingly disparate collection of artists paved the way for what would eventually become Nu-Metal.Regardless of what you may think of that sub-genre, it can't be denied that great music has inevitably been created by the merging of rap, rock, and metal.
