Listen "Food brings people together: An interview with Chef Shannon Berends"
Episode Synopsis
I am excited to have Shannon Berends, a professional chef and food scientist on today’s episode. Chef Berends lives by the following mantra: “Food brings people together.” But after discovering the lack of fresh, innovative, and delicious recipes for individuals with dietary restrictions, Berends felt called to devote her experience in the kitchen to promote food inclusivity. Thus, The Anti-Inflammatory Cookbook was born—a collection of gourmet autoimmune-friendly and anti-inflammatory dishes designed to give everyone a seat at the table. I brought her on the show to talk about her new book and her journey with cooking for autoimmune diseases
