Episode Synopsis
The early church, as represented by the Church Fathers, reflects a Lord's Table closed to those who are not baptized. However, I believe the table began opened and only closed at the end of the first century. In the midst of this early closing of the table, Luke writes his Gospel to emphasize Jesus's table fellowship with tax collectors and sinners.
