Listen "A Sweet Story"
Episode Synopsis
Hello, Can You Hear Me? is an audio storytelling project that was funded by Wakefield Council as part of Our Year – Wakefield District 2024 It features ten folktales re-created by the storyteller, Beccy Dye. These were arranged on a period telephone which was then toured across the District. People simply dialled a number to reach a story, each story was broken up into parts, so if they wanted listens could create story mash-ups.The project included a live, family-friendly performance which launched the exhibition in each venue.Sounds Used in This EpisodeTown ambience: Farmyard Ambience Revisited.wav by Benboncan -- https://freesound.org/s/69648/ -- License: Attribution 4.0Rock falling: RockFall1b.wav by AlanCat -- https://freesound.org/s/381645/ -- License: Creative Commons 0Crack: Crack Shatter by JustInvoke -- https://freesound.org/s/446133/ -- License: Attribution 4.0Stirring: Stir_tea_with_spoon.wav by KuoShu -- https://freesound.org/s/345181/ -- License: Attribution 3.0Small plant grows: one plant grows with lettuce.wav by squidge316 -- https://freesound.org/s/677814/ -- License: Creative Commons 0Church bell: 230503_2414-2_FR_ChurchBell.wav by kevp888 -- https://freesound.org/s/688510/ -- License: Attribution 4.0Chanting: Chanting_01.aif by carroll27 -- https://freesound.org/s/151924/ -- License: Creative Commons 0Intro/Outro music for podcast episode: Folk Guitar Music Track by Dvideoguy -- https://freesound.org/s/246315/ -- License: Creative Commons 0
