Episode Synopsis

In this episode I begin to practice my story telling abilities with an embarrassing learning experience. A problem for me is that I feel a need to filter what comes out of my mouth and for a good story moving past this may be necessary. This tale would be so much better with all the parts, nonetheless I still touch on the points I want to make. I’m not sure how successful I was in describing the theme of how our spirit, mind and body each has a representation of a specific thought or energy in our daily events, but that is what I wanted to do. One happening has three versions of its manifestation. When I hurt my sole, I really did hurt my soul.

I will talk about the opportunity to learn in what appear to be awful situations. I also discuss the responsibility we have for our environment and to own what we may be accountable for, even when we initially feel like a victim.

I observe how important it is to go through the healing process and not take short cuts, if we are going to learn and truly shift for good through our trials. I will discuss some of the clues that plants offer us to know how they work in the body, without having a book in front of you. I also bring up specific herbs that I used to help heal my heel, and they are not the hero herbs that you may think. It reminds me of how we take for granted what is often already in the cupboard.

I’m happy to report since this recording the situation has been resolved and our neighbours from heel have moved on.

More About Your Host:

Michelle Rosetta has over 20 years of experience in the natural beauty industry and is now a practicing Clinical Herbalist. She created BEE23 Natural Beauty in 2007, a non-toxic small-batch product line for herself and others, not only to have superior products to use but as an educational platform to share with her community what is not working and harmful in synthetic chemical-based brands. She has travelled across Canada and to Los Angeles with this brand, along with freelance writing encompassing tips for positive and healthy skin care.

Michelle is interested in the deeply emotional, philosophical and energetic relationship we have with ideals of 'beauty,' looking to reconcile this with the love of self and our purpose which lies far deeper than reaching for the latest cosmetic cream. Her life has been a practice in finding magic in a messy kitchen with a full house, while attempting to maintain a regimen of 'working' on self. The journey continues as she now walks into a new era of coming to terms with undeniable aging of the physical self, seeking knowledge to empower in areas we have control and to acquire grace in what we must let go to welcome the next level of fabulousness.
