Listen "Celebrating the Ordinary: A Writer's Love of Coffee and Connection"
Episode Synopsis
Lily chats with Katie Zurich. Katie is a writer, professor, blogger, and mom. Her blog, Fishing For Fika, is a true gem. The blog's name is of Swedish origin. Fika is a Swedish word that means coffee break - it’s a tradition that offers the opportunity to socialize. Katie’s blog celebrates storytelling, slowing down, and authentic human connection. Katie is also in the midst of writing a book called Inviting Ordinary that is based on the premise that we live in a world that celebrates extremes, which makes it difficult for us to recognize and cherish the ordinary. Katie's work highlights the great gifts that come from seemingly ordinary things.Check out Katie's blog at fishingforfika.com and follow her on Instagram @fishingforfika.
