KEY TAKEAWAYS
Five years ago I was diagnosed with Stage IV pancreatic cancer, just after my wife’s Dad passed away from Stage IV lung cancer. I had cancer in my lymph nodes, stomach and liver. It wasn’t go. After crying for two days we decided to attack this challenge, trying different types of pharmaceuticals and holistic treatments, but I’m a big believer that I’m here today because I did it all.
Meditation is a major thing I do every day, for 10 minutes or 3 hours. It’s amazing when you calm your mind down and focus and meditate on what you really want to do. My head was always so busy thinking about things going on at work, my kids and my wife, meditation has taught me to control the outside pressures of the world and focus on the important things. Visualisation is huge. I created my own ‘healing room’ which is like something out of Start Wars and Star Trek where I imagined I was laying on a high-tech bed and a scanner was taking away the cancer.
I got to the point where I visualised that everything going in me was killing the cancer; I’d drink a glass of water and say “this is awesome, it’s killing the cancer”, or “the air is so clean, it’s awesome, it’s killing the cancer”, I’d have a steak – which is probably not the best for me – I’d go “the steak in there is killing it”. That was my mindset: Everything that’s going into my body is killing my cancer. Then my wife said maybe I should stop fighting the cancer and acknowledge it and talk to it and try to convince it to leave.
My life was so busy before that I missed a lot of important moments in my life and my family’s life that were right in front of me. I wish O could go back to my kids growing up the way I am now. It’s amazing how, when you slow your mind down and focus on the beautiful things in life, there’s so much positivity and amazing thing surrounding you, but you don’t notice them because our minds are so full. We miss out on life.
BEST MOMENTS
‘The mind and body was the biggest part I worked on and it helped me grow. It filled a void.’
‘Taking ‘Body Talk’ classes was new to me and I thought it was a bit hokey, but once you get into it it’s absolutely amazing how it can change your life. I believe it saved my life.’
‘I visualised the future and believing I was in that future and it had already happened. Seeing my kids married, playing with my grandchildren created such a powerful feeling in my body that my body believed I was there and I was alive and healthy. If you can do that it’s done, and the healing is happening.’
‘Our body is 99% energy/information and 1% matter. If you can change your energy you can change your life.’
ABOUT THE GUEST
After being diagnosed with Stage IV pancreatic cancer, and being told he had 12 months to live, Terri Mah went on an extraordinary journey of self-development and learning which ultimately resulted in his complete healing.
ABOUT THE HOST
Gavin Scott is a born entrepreneur with a passion for start up and scale up. He has over 20 years real estate experience in investment and development.
Gavin says: Over the years I have discovered that mindset is everything. Now, that might sound obvious, but it is! You see the number of awoken minds are very few in reality. Whilst acknowledging mindset is key it is absolutely different from utilising, influencing, impacting and effecting great change, for yourself, your loved ones, friends, colleagues and the wider public.
Why?
Like most of us I have had many ups and downs. I want to share the lessons learnt and promote a better environment for all, internally and externally!
How?
Through sharing my own experiences and hosting some fabulous individuals including some big household names to discuss key topics around mindset and the success formulas I hope the listener will become inspired to create space for change for betterment in their lives. I aim to inspire change by encouragement, not by force. I intend to inspire by education, not by regulation.
