Episode Synopsis
Saigo Takamori, was not just the last Samurai, but a strong defender of the typical quality products from Satsuma. The farmers and their families from there, believed and trusted in Saigo. He controlled carefully the sale of goods to get the right amount to have a good living of his people. When Japan wanted to get rid of the Samurais to directly trade with the communities with an open market bases, Saigo understood that the wealth of Satsuma was in danger, and he started the war, until the last consequences. His life was given in the name of his values and traditions. That means in protection of a Regulate, Control and of Quality market. That Never died in Japan thanks to Saigo and makes of Japan a symbolic example of food quality, giving richness to all people in the Production process.
