His accolades include winning the 1993 Kerrville New Folk Songwriting Award and the 1996 Telluride Troubadour Competition, marking him as a true craftsman of storytelling through music.
Michael’s talent shines through his collaborations as well, being a vital part of The Sherpas, SGGL, and Man from Tuesday, and sharing stages with legends like Alison Krauss, Bob Dylan, and Little Feat. His solo projects are a rich tapestry of musical influences, featuring collaborations with industry icons such as Mary-Chapin Carpenter and James Taylor’s violinist Andrea Zonn.
Beyond the stage, Michael’s adventures have taken him from the whitewater rivers of Nepal to the motorcycle highways across America, always with a guitar in hand and a song in his heart. He’s a man who truly lives his music, and his recent projects, “Promise to Harry” by The Sherpas and “Man from Tuesday,” are proof of his ever-evolving artistry.
