In this sermon, we continue our We Are series, focusing on the theme of Fallen in Sin. Last week, we explored how we are made in God’s image, giving us dignity regardless of race, class, or gender. Today, we look at the opposite side—our fall from grace. In Genesis 3, Satan, disguised as a serpent, deceives Adam and Eve, leading to humanity’s first sin. This story illustrates how sin distorts God’s truth and brings tragic consequences. We’ll examine the fall's ongoing impact on humanity, our internal struggle with sin, and our need for redemption through Christ.
