Listen "Surrendering – A "Taboo" Word?"
Episode Synopsis
Welcome back to Season 1 Episode 6, Surrendering – A Taboo Word.
Surrender is a spiritual concept. But it is not just a concept, it is also an approach to life. With our current culture and conditioning, surrender can be difficult.
In this episode I will discuss:
What I have learned about surrender
How often we need to surrender
How resistance and surrender are our pathway to healing
How contrast (things that are difficult) help us to grow
Why it is good to stop fighting, surrender and let go
How surrendering and letting go allow you to access the most powerful source of all
How our conditioned images of God mess with our ability to let go and let God
What a previous presidential candidate reveals as your real purpose on earth
What we need to surrender
How to receive the very best for yourself

A bit about me…
This podcast evolved out of my purpose. My purpose evolved out of my early struggles. I turned that purpose into my mission.
I struggled with myself and who I thought I should be versus who I was truly deep down. Family challenges amplified my struggle. That pain led to worse pain and circumstances until I was broken open to my awakening and with help and support developed self-efficacy and a belief in the divine.
In other words, I came to believe in my own ability to meet life’s challenges (and listen to my inner voice) while having faith that things would work out okay. I might add, that none of this has been done or is being done perfectly.
That awakening led me back to school and to work in helping professions over the past 30 years including, addictions and mental health, as a career counsellor and facilitator, as a college teacher, as an executive director in youth services, back to addictions again and as a Life and Career Coach.
Staying in alignment with myself and my truth is a lifelong journey in which “life” provides reminders when I am getting off track that get stronger the longer, I do not listen.
What it really means is that I sometimes forget who I truly am, get out of tune with myself and do not treat myself as the divine being I know myself to be.
I believe that this is part of our collective human condition.
Thank you for joining me. To me there is nothing better than this journey of remembering and reminding ourselves of who we truly are.
Until next time. Peace, love & joy to you!
