Earlier this week was Mikao Usui's birthday. Mikao Usui is the founder of Reiki and he was born August 15, 1865. Truly, Reiki is as old as time. It just got forgotten for a while and Mikao helped us to remember our innate healing abilities! I've been practicing Reiki since 2010 and began teaching it to others by 2014.
