When I imagine. the suffering I'd create if I gave up, it gives me the strength to keep going. Some of the thoughts that help me when I'm discouraged are "the only failure is giving up", "I owe it to myself to give myself every chance I can to succeed and thrive at the highest levels" and "I've worked through a great many obstacles in my life only to find myself happier, stronger and more successful on the other side. I got to the other side by persisting and I can do it again." Freedom is choosing consciously what thoughts we're going to act on. Through thought coaching I help my clients discover the thoughts in their mind and makee a conscious choice of which thoughts to act on and which to not act on.
