This post was originally written and broadcast on February 14, 2023, shortly after the catastrophic earthquake in Turkey and Syria. Over 1.8 million people were affected and had lost family members, housing, food, water, businesses, and communities.  I felt the call for humanity to come together and to rise in support, but it seemingly just glossed the news like another, light-weighted weather event.  I felt called to look into why the response was so low. --- Whether you care or not about the various crises in the world can say a lot about your own current state of well-being. Do you feel cared for enough? Are you yourself taking steps toward the self-care that you need? For those of us who do care a great deal, this is such an asset to the health of your heart space.
