In this episode I’m excited to be speaking with Wendy Taylor, Executive Director of Learning Essentials, a company dedicated to providing tutoring, academic coaching, educational therapy and support services to help students, families and educators in the greater DC-metro area—and beyond! Wendy Taylor, M.Ed, ET/P, is a highly qualified and dedicated professional in Special Education. She holds certifications as an Educational Therapist, Orton-Gillingham practitioner, Educational Diagnostician, and IEP Coach, showcasing her commitment to improving the learning experiences of students with diverse needs. Wendy is also the host of the Special Ed Strategist® Podcast, where she empowers parents and professionals to navigate the complex world of special education. With extensive experience working with students of various ages and abilities, Wendy has served as a faculty member at Saint Petersburg College, supervised pre-service teachers, and worked as a teacher within the Montgomery County Public School system. Her academic background includes a Bachelor of Science in Social Science and Secondary Education from Frostburg State University and a Master of Education in Special Education from George Mason University.
