Today, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) announced changes to the Startup Visa program and the Self Employed persons program.
Here are my calculations based on these changes. Please feel free to comment and give feedback! 🗨️🔄
📊 A cap of 10 PR applications each year under the SUV per designated organization. With 82 DOs, that's 820 new SUV PR applications each year.
- So, for the remaining part of 2024 (half year): 410
- For 2025, assume 820
- For 2026, assume 820
Total for the next 2.5 years: 2050 new SUV PR applications.
🚫 There will be a complete pause on the Self-Employed Persons program.
