Listen "The History Of Whitetail Deer Restoration in Mississippi- The Deep Dig Episodes #2"
Episode Synopsis
Mississippi is presently known for being an extremely high deer density state. In fact, it has one of the highest deer densities in the entire United States. However, have you ever stopped to think if it has always been that way? You might be surprised to know that not too long ago, whitetail deer were almost completely wiped out of the state, and the sole reason they succeed today is because of very intentional conservation efforts. In this episode, we talk with MS deer program coordinator William McKinley about the history of deer here in Mississippi. #DigDeep
