You either already have, or will one day, have an apprentice yourself and you’ll definitely come across someone else’s .These young, eager and new kids in the industry have feelings, they have opinions and they are impressionable.

Manners are free and it costs nothing to be kind.
Why probation is important, apprentices are always in a trial period, they are trialing you and you’re trialing them.
Has anyone gotten married in a roof space?
Apprentices are people too, treat them well and remember when you were in their shoes.
If you’re always rushing and stressed the issue probably isn’t the apprentice.
You can help other peoples apprentices too they don’t know what thy don’t know. Help them be better tradies and help them work well with everyone on site.
Remember that trial periods, performance reviews and consistent communication with the apprentice, other tradies and team members are all critical not just of you and your team but for the apprentice.
