The Space Knights crew was lucky to have John Walker of the UCF Football team on the live Spaces this week!John Walker is a standout defensive tackle for the UCF Knights, hailing from Kissimmee, Florida, where he starred at Osceola High School. A 4-star recruit in the class of 2023, Walker is UCF’s highest-ranked signee in the modern recruiting era. At 6’4” and 310 pounds, he brings a powerful presence to the defensive line with a near 6-foot-10 wingspan, earning comparisons to Tim Settle for his disruptive style. In high school, he racked up 79 tackles (46 solo), 9 sacks, and 2 forced fumbles as a senior, helping Osceola reach the Florida 4S playoff semifinals. As a true freshman in 2023, he played all 13 games, recording 24 tackles, 5 for loss, and earned On3 Sports’ True Freshman All-American honors. After missing the 2024 season due to a lower leg injury requiring surgery, Walker is back for 2025 with a mission to make a significant impact, driven by his “hometown hero” pride and a desire to restore UCF’s winning tradition. He’s known for his brute strength, quick first step, and ability to dominate blockers, making him a key piece of the Knights’ defensive front.
