Dr Fabian Zander is a senior research fellow in aerospace engineering at the University of Southern Queensland. He recently spearheaded a project where a team conducted unique in-flight observations of debris emanating from a fragmented comet. Dr Zander is also a key player, using the university's world-beating hypersonic wind tunnel which is keeping Australia at the forefront of one of the sector's most exciting technologies.
