Hebrews 11:1 says, "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." It let's us know we must believe things completely, even if we have no evidence to support the belief.
Ephesians 2:8-9 says, "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." God's grace in the matter of salvation is by grace that we are saved through faith. It also lets us know not because we are good or, because we deserve it but rather God's good and gracious.
