Episode Synopsis

On this episode of the World Game-Changers podcast, Paul is joined by Martin Leifeld to talk about some of the challenges that present in North America and the WGC’s 10 LEGs (Life Enhancing Goals) and how they could benefit North America.

KEY TAKEAWAYS

One of things I’m most aware of when we talk about North America is we’re talking about two dozen countries, and countries that are prosperous, like the United States, and countries that are deeply impoverished and troubled, like Haiti. As we go about trying to develop this concept of World Game-Changers North America, and an identity and an entity to serve those citizens, it’s far bigger than the US, almost 55% come from other countries with other cultures, points of view and so on.

The US is famous for scattered communications of all kinds, an overwhelming amount of communications that’s purposeless, or of a purpose that you wish was not being presented and brought to the attention of the globe. We produce all kinds of content, the good, the bad, the ugly, the very best, the very worst.

BEST MOMENTS

‘I’m so excited the World Game-Changers have globally developed these 10 LEGs as a framework for our focus and how we organise ourselves and to who we look to first in those areas to support the diversity of not just the group, but the world.’

‘A balanced life is something we’re really focused on, we’re people who understand we have to love ourselves in order to love and serve others powerfully.’

‘American’s have certainly taken a disproportionate amount of the world’s resources to make it what it has become, for better or for worse. When I think about that I think that begins with awareness.’

‘Plastic has helped revolutionise the world and it’s also seriously damaging the world. What can we do to be more mindful and reduce our consumption and use of plastics, as convenient as it may be?’
