Episode Synopsis
Soccer Talk with Tyler Green and Simon Fudge is back for the June 3rd edition - presented by Metrotown Orthopedic & Sports Physiotherapy, as they broadcast from the Barber and Co. studios. On this episode, Tyler and Simon discuss Whitecaps FC's disastrous start to the defence of their Voyageurs Cup title. Did the youngsters that played the first-leg defeat at Ottawa Fury let head coach Carl Robinson down? Facing a 2-0 deficit in next Wednesday's second leg at BC Place, how strong of a side should the Whitecaps play to turn this semifinal series around? As Canadian champions, Whitecaps FC will play in the 2016-17 CONCACAF Champions League. On Monday, the Blue and White were drawn with MLS Western Conference rivals Sporting Kansas City and Trinidad & Tobago's Central FC. Did Vancouver get a winnable group or were you hoping to see the 'Caps play a high-profile club from Mexico's Liga MX? It's summer tournament time! Tyler and Simon give their predictions for the Copa America Centenario, which starts Friday in the United States, as well as EURO 2016, with Tyler heading to Europe this weekend to take in some of the action in France. Before he left, Tyler and Simon gave their thoughts on what to expect at European soccer's showpiece event when the action begins next Friday, June 10. All that, plus a South Pacific version of 'Simon Says' on the June 3rd version of Soccer Talk! More info about Soccer Talk on Facebook!
