We all have light and dark and so for you to really heal and move forward you need to pull the bandaid/plaster off the dark and go deep to do the shadow work needed in order to step into the light.
Yes, that means you can be emotional, vulnerable etc but it's work that needs doing and you have a duty to yourself to heal and not allow the negative anchor of the shadows to drag you and your future down. It can be a liberating experience for you.
