The year was 2008, I was setting up an event focused on supporting people with social anxiety, because I could deeply relate to shyness at debilitating level in my teens and early twenties. 6 weeks before the event, fate presented me with an opportunity to speak to Ruby Wax for The BBC Headroom Campaign about social anxiety disorder, their aim was to highlight mental health issues one by one, to create awareness so that people could get the right support. Ruby had just started opening up about her struggles with depression and was doing a lot of campaigning and work with Time to change. 
This podcast takes the actual interview with Ruby Wax into podcast form, with a little preamble from me beforehand.
