Throughout the Old Testament, we see everything pointing towards one thing. The coming of Jesus Christ as the Saviour. Here's an example from the prophet Isaiah.
Isaiah 9:6
For unto us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government shall be upon his shoulder. And his name shall be called Wonderful Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
Imagine the excitement of knowing that someone was coming who would be born as a child, just like you and me, but who would go on to change everything.
