Carmilla, Mircalla, Millarca... why are you Carmilla? What it is in the name?
Well, it's not Shakespeare but Mr Sheridan Le Fanu, who wrote this short story, which is one of the first stories about vampires (yep, Dracula came later) and as well has as main characters women... and to top it off, not just some women but lesbian vampire...
What more to ask from the story to cover the nearest Queer sci-fi & fantasy book club? I'm happy that I've decided to read this Gothic Victorian novella... and yes, already searching for other books by the author ;)
