Whether a cousin, a second cousin, a friend of a friend, or even a Facebook friend, everyone, according to this theory at least, is only 6 connections away. I wanted to use this theory to connect the people of Ithaca, New York through random interviews. The idea was simple as whatever name I blindly pointed to in the Yellow Book would be my next interviewee. But 'simple' could never describe the journey that this first call would take me on.
