Episode Synopsis
Send us a textSingles Going Around- Early Warren Storm 1958-1960Warren Storm was introduced to Jay Miller by Cliff LeMaire and a audition was soon set up in May of 1958. Miller liked what he heard from Warren and had "Prisoner's Song" in mind for him. Miller leased that single out to Nasco Records with a new contract. Three more singles followed with more hits such as "Troubles, Troubles" and others. But the Nasco contract soon expired and found Warren releasing singles on Miller's Rocko and Zynn labes. These singles did not gain much promotion from Miller and had only local success. But the singles stand the test of time, providing some great early examples of Warren's music.(NASCO 6015)Prisoner's Song / Mama, Mama, Mama(NASCO 6025)Troubles, Troubles / In My Moments Of Sorrow(NASCO 6028)So Long So Long (Good Bye Good Bye) / I've Got My Heart In My Hand(NASCO 6031)Birmingham Jail / I'm A Little Boy (Looking For Love)(ROCKO 512)Oh Oh Baby / I Thank You So Much(ROCKO 520)I'm Such A Fool / Since I Said So Long(ZYNN 1019)Blues Stop Knocking / Kansas City(ZYNN 1021)This Should Go On Forever / Jailhouse Blues(ZYNN 1024)When My Blue Moon Turns To Gold Again / (If You Don’t Want Me) Let Me Know*All selections from the original 45 rpm records
