We decided to spend a short afternoon on C Street to see what we’d been missing. Boy, were we surprised at all the options, especially food options. So many eclectic choices, it makes it hard to pick a place to start. Keeping in mind that one of us is gluten free, we opted to start with lunch at Cafe Basilico. They have a separate gluten free menu which made one of us ecstatic! Both meals were wonderful and we would highly recommend. From there we walked the 3 block stretch of restaurants, boutiques, businesses and coffee shops. We stopped in at Ms. Gilmore’s Tea Room and ogled the delectable delights available there. It was so hard to choose but in the end we both got something to take home that was delicious! We then went next door to Chabom’s Tea and Spices. They have an amazing variety of loose leaf teas, tea pots and every spice imaginable. All in all it was a great day on C Street. We can’t wait to go back and think you should check it out as well!
