Episode Synopsis

This is a song I wrote in September 2019. It's about trying things even if you think / believe / have been told that you're no good at them. You may just find that you can do them, and may even enjoy them. That's what happened for me with dancing, especially cèilidh dancing, which I have come to enjoy greatly.

Here are the words for the song:

He always thought he had two left feet
Two left feet, two left feet
He always thought he had two left feet
And couldn't dance at all

He would sit in the corner while others danced,
others danced, others danced
He would sit in the corner while others danced,
and wished he could dance with them

But he always thought he had two left feet
Two left feet, two left feet
He always thought he had two left feet
And couldn't dance at all

Then she came over and asked him to dance,
asked him to dance, asked him to dance
Then she came over and asked him to dance,
but he just shook his head.

Don't you know I have two left feet,
two left feet, two left feet
Don't you know I have two left feet
and can't dance at all

She said to him just give it a go,
just give it a go, just give it a go
She said to him just give it a go
It's really not that hard

But won't everyone just laugh at me
Laugh at me, laugh at me
Won't everyone just laugh at me
And then I'll feel a fool

If they do you can laugh with them
Laugh with them, laugh with them
If they do you can laugh with them
and then you'll feel just fine

So he danced with her all night long
All night long, all night long
He danced with her all night long
Until the morning light

Now they dance together when ever they can
wherever they go, wherever they are
Now they dance together wherever they can
WIth hearts full of joy

So if you believe you have two left feet
two left feet, two left feet
If you believe you have two left feet
Just dance anyway

The chords I use on this version are Am, Dm and E.

The photo is one I took of a cèilidh / twmpath in Powis Hall in Bangor University in 2017. You can see more photos of this and other dances I've been to at: https://flic.kr/s/aHskTRBttV
