Listen "The Whistling Windows / Y Ffenstri Sïo"
Episode Synopsis
This is a little tune that developed from noodling around in minor keys. The name was inspired by a visit to the Yacht Club in Caernarfon on a stormy night in March 2017 when the windows were actually whistling. Unfortunately I didn't record that sound, so I used my pūrerehua (a kind of Māori bullroarer) to make the sound of the wind at the end of the track. The other instruments on this track are the guitar, cavaquinho, piano, descant and tenor recorders, melodica and bodhrán.
