Listen "Nothing / Dim Byd"
Episode Synopsis
I started thinking about and writing this song back in October 2019, and in April 2020 I finished writing the words, came up with a tune, and made this recording. It's a song about nothing, as the title suggests.
Here are the words:
There's nothing to see and nothing to say
and nothing to do today
But I'm not going let that get in my way
And I'll do something anyway
If you open your eyes, and your ears and your mind
You can always find things to do
There are tunes to play and songs to sing
And things to make with string
There are books to read and tales to tell
And pictures to paint and draw
There are dances to dance and games to play
And many things to say
So wipe that scowl off of your face
I'm sure you'll find things to embrace
Because life's not a race that can be won
So why not just have some fun
This recording was made in Bangor on my soprano ukulele. The chords are C, G, F, Dm and Am.
