Listen "Ep.100 Lessons From Grandma"
Episode Synopsis
Welcome to Episode 100!!! I am your host, Lisa Hoffman and I am so excited today! The Sidetracked Sisters began this podcast back in January and we have had so much fun talking about legacy writing, sharing with you, and demonstrating how people can come to a topic from a variety of perspectives. I have LOVED interviewing other creative people--writers, visual artists, entrepreneurs, and memoirists. The goal is to inspire YOU to create a lasting legacy with your life for your family, friends, loved ones, and community.
Today's topic, "Lessons From Grandma" is really where so many of our legacy stories begin...and end. In my life, I didn't realize how much my grandmas were living examples for me of deep life lessons. When my Grandma Is was alive, I neglected to get down her recipe for her special creamed chicken. When my grandma Doris was alive, she asked me about myself and my life, but I never reciprocated or showed an interest in her life, her experiences as a young woman or her stories from early in her marriage with little kids. Now my opportunity is past.
With Sidetracked Legacies, we don't want YOU to miss the opportunity to pass on YOUR wisdom! We are happy to announce today that we will be opening our membership in mid-September. This membership will provide the support and guidance for you to work on your own legacy project and publish it. The membership will consist of weekly writing prompts, an exclusive Facebook membership site, a monthly group writing workshop, and a published book at the end of 52 weeks!
