Darryl Sharp is in his 12th season with the Hampton University men's basketball program
He is responsible mostly for recruiting. What are you looking for when you're recruiting?
As an assistant coach at Washburn High School in Minneapolis, Minn.
Graduate of Bloomsburg (Pa.) University with a degree in economics, Sharp spent time as a broker for Robert W. Baird and U.S. Bank before getting into coaching. Worked in private business in investment banking, business development, and human resources.

NCAA Academic Progress Report your team had a 964 multi-year score which has gone up 20 points during your tenure.
Two years with the Iowa State basketball program, his first season with the Cyclones, Sharp coordinated recruiting
advanced to the 2004 NIT semifinals in New York City
He also helped mentor Big 12 Freshman of the Year Curtis Stinson.
Coach Sharp did recruit duties at Norfolk State and developed prospect lists. He also handled all film exchanges and assisted with individual improvement drills in the offseason. Worked with Hall of Fame coach Denny Crum at the University of Louisville. Intelligent, hard-working person with a lot of contacts," said Crum.
Sharp was instrumental in recruiting All-American Reece Gaines, who ended his career at Louisville as the third-best scorer in C-USA history under head coach Edward Joyner Jr., and his 11th serving as associate head coach.
