Episode Synopsis
RITUAL SIGNAL: CORE SEQUENCE (013) - Alex In Chains
Alexx in Chainss, Chainss for short, and Alex if ya nasty, this
Orlando-born + Miami-based selector has pushed into the scene as
co-founder of Miami's queer collective GAZE LTD. with artists
Lisa Frank and Ultrathem, Club Juicy Fruit with Fabiola and
Christopher Foor, and the Gay Underground Network (G.U.N Inc)
with Miami legend Mystic Bill. Alex has spent the last few years
behind the scenes with Miami's most revered event curators and
international artists mastering the art of creating impactful
musical experiences. As a resident of the collectives he has
founded, musically he aims to reclaim the queerness of
underground music and give that back to the rich and diverse
community that is Miami's queer underground exposing them to
sounds dominating the international stage and pairing it with
the local talent that is making a statement to a scene dominated
by toxic masculinity. Taking his childhood inspirations from the
Florida Breaks, Freestyle, and Ballroom sounds that
nostalgically pervade fondly in his memory, he combines it with
the forward-thinking sounds of the cutting-edge electro, acid,
italo, experimental, and left-field noises coming from today's
brightest producers.
