Episode Synopsis

RITUAL SIGNAL: CORE SEQUENCE (008) - Débora Cunia

Débora Cuña Alvarez aka Débora Cunia is an Argentine DJ based in Buenos Aires. Her beginnings were influenced by various musical styles such as punk, grunge, hard-core, hip-hop, disco and funk.
Her other great passion, percussion, led by Dani Buira, founding drummer of Los Piojos, led her to quickly understand musical theory and apply it to electronics. Her dark and groovy techno makes her music a unique and unrepeatable experience.
Debora plays in iconic clubs such as Crobar, Bahrein, Vox, El Dorado, Niceto, Uniclub, and The Shamrock, among others. In the interior, in the provinces of Entre Ríos, Córdoba and Chubut. In December 2019 she traveled for the first time to Paysandú, Uruguay and then later played in Montevideo and Maldonado, both also Uruguayan lands. Today she is part of the Dunepark Club team.
In 2020 she founded By Womans, an agency with a female gender perspective. Since she noticed the scarce presence of women in the electronic music industry, she decided to do something about it, and formed the space. It is inclusive of non-binary and trans feminine identities, its objective is to empower the presence of women in the booth, and give space to non-established artists. Deobjectify bodies and support talents.
