Send us a textI’m never good enoughI should be exercising more, eating less, eating healthier food, attend a mindfulness course, spend more time with my kids, focus more on work, make more money, spend less money, be involved in a charity, pay more attention to what I do with my waste, be nicer with my partner, stop eating meat, stop eating processed food, stop drinking alcohol, eat organic food, avoid gluten… What else?I’m pretty sure you have more things on your guilt list. The concept of New Year resolutions reinforces this idea that now is THE time to change things and become a better person. This whole idea is in fact very toxic. Most people already find it difficult to cope with all their responsibilities and have no idea how to get to this “ideal” life that’s being advertised to them. I suggest that instead we take moments for ourselves to reflect on different aspects of our lives. -What are the things that I’m unhappy about and that I’d like to change?-How am I going to accomplish that in a safe way, in a way that I feel comfortable with?http://www.philippetahon.comThanks for listening, I hope this episode will be helpful.Philippe
