Beth and Kate interview Mike Strohecker! Mike lives in Columbiana and has three kids - Trinity, Izzy and Zane. Mike was born in Salem, Ohio and spent his childhood between Tampa, Florida and East Palestine, Ohio. At 16, Mike decided he was going to move full time to Ohio and graduated from East Palestine High School. He then attended Mount Union and received his bachelor's in Sports Medicine. He worked as an athletic trainer for four years and then made the choice to become a Health and Physical Education Teacher. After getting a masters in Educational Technology, Mike has spent the last 21 years teaching at Canfield High School. Mike enjoys gardening, cooking, travel, hunting, fishing, reading and working out. Although Mike was at the Upper Room in the past and had left for a bit, he's recently back with us for the past few months! We're so grateful for Mike and his openness to the people around him.
