Listen "She's Got Game #234"
Episode Synopsis
Michaela and Vanessa speak with Ottawa Charge forward Emily Clark who’s motivated after coming so close to capturing the Walter Cup last season. Emily also shares her thoughts on getting ready to travel to the west coast as Seattle and Vancouver enter the league and if the ongoing arena situation in Ottawa is affecting the team. The puck drops on the new PWHL campaign this weekend – Michaela and Vanessa gotchu covered with a full roster-by-roster season preview. Vancouver Rise are your first-ever NSL champions, hoisting the Diana B. Matheson trophy by braving a rare November lightning delay and upsetting heavily favoured AFC Toronto. Vancouver were beneficiaries of a goal off the foot of the opposing keeper and then parked the bus and withstood Toronto’s onslaught. The WNBA tables a new offer to the Union but will it be enough to entice the players to sign? It’ll be an unlikely all-east-coast NSWL final between upstarts Gotham FC and the Washington Spirit.
